Well, here we are at Thanksgiving already! I am reading two books right now The Edge of Darkness by Tim LaHaye, the last in this series and Six Geese A-Slaying by Donna Andrews the newest in the Meg Langslow mystery series. Our page just read a new Young Adult book that we have entitled Larry and the Meaning of Life by Janet Tashjian, she thinks guys will really enjoy this book, and that it was hilarious! Mrs. Murray just read a new chapter book by Mike Lupica entitled Summer Ball. A very good new author for 4th through 8th and even High School age, boys or girls. Look on our new materials page for new books that are in and some new movies that will be here soon! We will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday and open Monday morning. Have a great Thanksgiving!

Hi, I have started reading the second in the Needlecraft Mystery Framed in Lace by Monica Ferris. A good little mystery series with a needlecraft pattern free in the back of the book! Mrs. Murray is reading Varjak Paw by S.F. Said, a new chapter book for children 4th grade – 9th grade. She says it reminds her of the Cat Who books by Lilian Jackson Braun, another good mystery series which involves a cat. Mrs. Dunn is listening to Summer by Karen Kingsbury which is the second book in the Sunrise series. We own the book but not the audio, you can download it from Audio Books, Music and More. I thought I would also tell you about some books we own that are coming out in the movies. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer is coming out November 21st, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne comes out November 14th, and The Tale of Desperaux by Kate DiCamillo is coming out December 19th, Marley and Me by John Brogan is coming out December 25th.

We are getting a day off early, the Library will be taking Friday & Saturday off to coincide with the school closing to observe Veteran’s Day. We will NOT charge you for any movies that would be due on Friday November 7th or Saturday November 8th. We will open Monday as usual. I finally finished Profiles in Courage by John F. Kennedy, it was a good read and very interesting to find out politics have been the same since the beginning of our nation! I am now reading Rough Weather by Robert B. Parker, a Spenser novel. These books are always a good read. I am going to try to read next The Dangerous Days of Daniel X by James Patterson and also Nelson DeMille’s new book The Gate House. Be sure to look on our New Materials page for new books and movies. Also we have gotten in the new paperback series of The Needlecraft Series. Have a great weekend!
